so there was a shooting in the apartment directly across the hall from me last night.
it was sooo exciting, but apparently all that happend was, a man got in an argument with someone downstairs at metro, then went back up to his apartment and shot his assault rifle like seven times. at no one.
stupid drunk people coulda killed someone.
anyway...
he then baracaded himself in his apartment, as they say, for an hour or so while the police tried to calm him down...
what that means: he locked the door and the police couldnt get in.
after about an hour, i hear all these voices, so i run to my door, and watch them arrest the guy, fifteen men, in swat uniforms, yelling at him to keep his hands up, it was very intense.
i was watching the news and the peephole and then the security cameras at all the entrances to the building...granted it would have been a tad more exhilharating if someone had actually gotten shot, but of course, we are glad no one did.
it waaaas kinda cool tho watching the news and them saying, "we have no idea what is going on in the building right now, ..."
and then me looking through my peep hole and actually knowing...
now that i think about it, why the fuck didnt i call the news station...
oh well...

let me just tell you,
what an amazing day at work.
just busy and before i knew it, it was over.
then went to have a glass of wine with a coworker, then dinner, then a dip in the pool, which was stunning.
aaah. c'est la vie trop belle!
is anyone else amazed at how wonderful the weather is outside?
i know i sure as heck am excited about it...
and i saw my first love bug....
which since i was a little kid, always signified a change in the weather. that always made me so excited, fall is my favorite season...
well...i didnt like the love bug thing from the fourth grade up until my freshman year of high school...that meant it was football season, which i was forced to play...
which i did not enjoy...
nearly as much as the love bugs. |

La Nouba was a singularly amazing theatrical experience.
as was the asian bbq pork shank that i had prior to seeing the show.
surreal, french french french.
lemme tell ya.
oh yeah, i went up on stage at the beginning of the show, and got to ham it up for 800 other people..whoot whoot.
wonderful seats,
wonderful company,
